Licensed Veterinary Technician
We are seeking an experienced LVT to join our team of dedicated and caring feline enthusiasts. Full time with benefits or part-time available. We are an AAHA accredited, 6 doctor, full-service feline-specific clinic.
Applicants should be familiar with anesthesia, surgical assisting, performing dental, radiography, phlebotomy, placing catheters, and other normal LVT duties. The ability to multi-task is a plus! We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team but is also able to work independently when needed. The ideal applicant will have a genuine fondness for helping cats, kittens, and their owners.
Veterinary Assistant
The Ann Arbor Cat Clinic is looking to add an experienced veterinary assistant to our team. We are a full service, AAHA accredited, multi DVM practice devoted solely to feline medicine. We also house an onsite adoption program for stray/abandoned cats and feral or orphaned kittens.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a veterinary clinic and be comfortable with normal vet assistant duties. Job responsibilities will include: restraining animals, drawing blood, taking radiographs, administering medications and fluids, checking patients in and out of appointments, client education, and assisting the veterinarians and technicians. Familiarity or interest in, feline-friendly and low-stress handling techniques is a plus! Occasional housekeeping chores such as vacuuming, laundry, dishes, and snow removal will also be required. Our team is very passionate about providing the best care possible to our feline friends so a true fondness and compassion for cats are necessary.
This is a full-time position and will include some evening and weekend hours. Applicants should be enthusiastic, responsible, dependable, have reliable transportation, and be able to lift 40 pounds unassisted. They should be able to work well independently while also enjoying being part of a team.
