Hi Olivia,
We are offering a discounted adoption fee to keep these girls together. The adoption fee is $110.00 which is normally the adoption cost for 1 kitty. They are both spayed, declawed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, current on flea and heartworm prevention, FELV/FIV negative, and had full blood profiles done recently, so it's actually a pretty good deal for whomever ends up adopting them!

Have you tried featuring them on Facebook? My friend runs an organization promoting the adoption of senior cats in need of homes. In just the past year of starting, they have saved over 40 cats! Contact Amanda J.Cox at The Grannie Project: www.facebook.com/thegrannieproject
www.thegrannieproject.org

Also another friend helps kitties in need, mainly special needs cats, but that includes ones in special situations like Penny and Pumpkin. Her name is Wendy Michelle Matthews- a Michigan resident!! Her special needs kitty Willow is quite a celebrity! Her page to contact is:
www.facebook.com/prettywillow
Please do contact them- they are great resources to get the word out. It would be a dream come true if these two lady cats can find a forever home together. <3

I would so love these cats! :) I'm just wondering how much the adoption fee is, because we (my family and I) have a low income :/

So glad to hear Nom Nom is doing well. Kudos to you and the staff & other docs from outside the Clinic that volunteer their time. And also to all the people who made donations for Nom Nom and the other cats!

( Quote from http://consciouscat.net/2012/03/28/lucky-tortoiseshell-kitten-finds-new-life-with-good-samaritan/)
(Sue)"She rescued us that day by keeping our faith alive that even when humans let us down, a sweet little cat can show trust and love unconditionally.”

It's hard to even type, with bittersweet tears blurring my eyes and streaming down my face, let alone conjure up clear thoughts. As a former Michigander and Ann Arborite, this heartwarming story embraces my feelings, just that much more. I would like to personally thank Sue and her son for doing the right thing and stopping to help Nom Nom and the kind veterinarian(s) and vet techs for taking in Nom Nom and caring for her special needs. There are barely a handful of people, on this earth, that actually give me hope in humanity. You select few definitely belong with the best of them. You all make this world a better place for all of its creatures. I respectfully thank each one you and wish you all the best!

I have no idea of the accuracy of this quote or if I'm giving the correct person their due credit, as I found this on the web....but it is poignant and lovely just the same.)
"Love of animals is a universal impulse, a common ground on which all of us may meet. By loving and understanding animals, perhaps we humans shall come to understand each other."
    - Dr Louis J. Camuti (1893 - 1981)

Is there a fund set up for Nom Nom or a way to make a donation to The Ann Arbor Cat Clinic to help pay future rescue situations?

Please give Nom Nom some snuggles and loves from me. I wish her a speedy recovery and a long happy life with a loving family!

Shine On!
